A four-session intermediate/advanced course that deepens basic lighting skills for more creative use of light. Classes begin on Sunday, February 18,  2018.

Rosanne's Seattle studio

A class for photographers who want to further their lighting skills, whether advanced amateur or professional. Learn more about combining strobe with ambient light, color of light, ratios, backdrops, creating story and working creatively with light. The class is designed to help you master lighting so you can create imagery that is artful, arresting and an exploration of personal style. The assignments include both replication studies and creative problem-solving studies. There will be an assignment for each class that is due prior to the next session.

Qualifications:

ABCs of Beautiful Light class, Light Control (at PCNW) or portfolio approval. Also, see qualifications for ABCs class. Most homework will be done on location so access to a studio is not required. Some rental of lighting equipment may be necessary for homework.

Cancellation Policy: If you need to withdraw for any reason, please notify us in writing (email is okay) 30 days or more before the start date of the Light + Ideas classes. At that time we will refund your deposit by check, less a $50 cancellation fee. If notification of cancellation is made 15 to 30 days before the start of the workshop, we retain the $100 of your deposit. If notification of cancellation is made less than 15 days before the start of the workshop, we retain the entire balance paid. Rosanne Olson reserves the right to cancel a reservation if full payment has not been received by 15 days before the start of the workshop. No refund of any fees will be made for withdrawal after the workshop begins.
