Six sessions. Six people. Meets once a month from 1:00-5:00 on Saturday afternoons.

$750 (10% discount for those attending the previous ABCs class).

An intermediate/advanced course that is a continuation of the ABCs of Beautiful Light class. Photographers further develop their lighting skills, learning more about combining strobe with ambient light, about color of light, ratios, backdrops, story and more. The class is designed to help students who want to learn to master lighting and put it to use with the goal of with creating imagery that is artful, arresting and an exploration of personal style. The assignments include both replication studies and creative problem-solving studies. There will be an assignment for each class that is due prior to the next session.

Qualifications:

ABCs of Beautiful Light class, Light Control (at PCNW) or portfolio approval. Also, see qualifications for ABCs class. Most homework will be done on location so access to a studio is not required. Some rental of lighting equipment may be necessary for homework.
